Whither Canada? Practising Progressive Politics

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/content/dam/world-news/2021/09/20/TELEMMGLPICT000271900144_trans_NvBQzQNjv4BqzZL_HMzlptxm9lUXbzFOb34ihL9D5G77hk2Gx25ScXg.jpeg?imwidth=1280

Is it possible to be unctuous and at the

very same time arrogant? On the evidence

it seems so; for ingratiating himself with

those of whom he anticipates grovelling

acquiescence he charmingly dotes on until

such time their own sense of moral urgency

becomes a threat to his theatrical pageantry

of virtuous dedication to all that practising

progressive politics denotes -- be it condemning

racism, homophobia, misogyny and injustice

while secretly harbouring all of those sins

discreetly -- rarely to betray himself for the

rancid hypocrite that he is. A leader who

invites the entry to a country he labels racist

of immigrants, migrants and refugees viewing

them as potential workforce material for a

government urgently requiring upgraded income

in compensation for its lavish expenditures of

taxpayer funding while finding it convenient

to rid the country of the burden of citizens

no longer capable of contributing to the social

weal by extending to them the attractions of

state-assisted suicide. His vision of a post-

national country glorying in his imprimatur

of aggrandized nobility, a once-proud nation

winces in consternation and manages to endure.
