Workers of the world -- Unite! Throw off
the oppressive yoke of capitalism and join
together as one dedicated to the welfare of
the state that represents your collective
interests in attaining a better life, where
all of life's necessities are at your demand
in this brave new world courtesy of universal
communism; all that matters in life held in
common ownership, privileges for none.
Collectivism absent the spark of personal
advantage made for poor production but that
mattered less to the Soviets than obedience
to their rule of ideology. A leadership that
saw no reason why they should be deprived
of the bonuses of good living and so dachas
and limousines and acquired fortunes were
mere adjuncts of entitled prerogatives. Now
the Russian Federation while yet tenderly
clasping its ideology favours its very own
brand of capital enabling the power of coercive
inducements when blandishments fail with a
leader for whom Soviet-era hegemony is once
again the order of the day and a palace for
every day of the week suits the leader's
sense of self-aggrandizement to acknowledge
the personal sacrifices he musters of benefit
to national history, culture and inclination.
