There was a time when we socially nourished
pride in our children, to feel good and proud
about who and what they were, unique and primed
to take their place in life and the society around
them. When they were assured that the world was
open to their ambitions and they could attain to
anything in life they strove toward. Now a different
pride is instructing children in a manner entirely
unique to a social stream unrecognizable to our
parental roles long past. Educators, social workers
and medical authorities are instructing children
born of our children that biological parameters
of science are fluid, sufficiently flexible to
assure them that they can be anything that
inspires and attracts their transitioning from
gender to gender in a world view well beyond
anything we might have imagined. The academic
instructions we took for granted in preparation
toward the self agency of adulthood and functional
guidance now augmented featuring instructions
on safe and pleasurable use of recreational drugs
and sex preparing the youth of today to become the
leaders of a future we can only dimly imagine.
