There are beginnings and there are ends
on a scale measured by human perception.
We are born to maturation and are borne
relentlessly to death and oblivion. Yet that is
not the measure of species endurance which
persists as long as nature permits. Extinction
is the means by which nature wipes clean a
slate impaired by its own success in claims to
immortality for nothing fits that category
not even the celestial bodies spinning through
the vast dark realms of nature's purview.
Where all the elements of the universe can
coalesce and disperse, flare and attract or
repulse, expand and contract. The vast seas
of space where heavenly objects navigate their
erratic presence through far distant galaxies
immeasurable and powerful where time is
eternity and existence is a question with no
response for nature's blueprints are hers
to dispose of as her inclination determines.
