Bogg 45

Herewith, the latest selection from dusted-off published poetry and short fiction, circa 1970s vintage and beyond....

Satyriasis

My god after all these years
sharing the same bed
comfortable together
in an almost asexual
sibling way
we spend just two nights
in unfamiliar
side-by-side beds
and you become a
raging satyr.

Maybe I should
encourage this thing.
It's been so long
you've noticed.
I might even convince myself
that I'm your woodland
counterpart
a nubile nymph.

The hell of it is
I see you paunched and
unshaven
and I'm no sylphlike figure;
can't match
your enthusiasm.

You'll get over it
you silly old bugger.
