If you felt the confidence to bet that the
Canada-U.S. relationship would henceforth
prosper with a new president at the wheel of
State in the Great US of A, don't be in a hurry
to cash in your bet. You're a loser, just like Canada.
The Commander-in-Chief in America has just
rotated from a man who gave orders that those
around him tried not to follow to a man who
follows orders others impose on his office.
The frontman who sat out the campaign in
his basement during COVID fears is now
front and centre, electrically feeble, orating
the dire need for his countrymen to shed their
partisan views and indulge in one huge
embrace of the status quo whereby elites
have retaken what is rightfully theirs and
none others need apply, their uncouth incivility
stale from recent display. And your point is?
Just a first impression from a biased source
reflecting the sting yet again of a mouse
living next door to an imperious elephant.
