How strange it is in this reverse universe
where truth and reality are subverted to a
narrative more suited to the ambitions of
a peculiar people who appear to have walked
through a mirror channelling them to a time
and place that never existed priming them
to claim progenitors never theirs and to claim
a land, its sacred sites of the inhabitants as
theirs by divine conquest. The divinity they
cite as authority not theirs but that of those
they scorn and hate. While their entitlement
is to torment and kill the indigenous of the land
they name themselves as victims for they are
the oppressed and those they feel must die at
their hands are the oppressors. It is they that
occupy land ancestral to others but those others
are named the 'occupiers' who must be countered
and slaughtered. How very strange this obverse
universe they inhabit with their claims.
