In its primal infancy the serpent
steadily observed and calculated
and plotted, twined comfortably
within the dark, damp recesses
of the cavity in which it had
been born as a germ of an idea.
Until the time was ripe for
contact and recognition as it
infiltrated the mind it occupied
and relayed its spiteful spirit of
malevolent conspiracy and the
serpent and the man became as
one; the guide and mentor and the
ruler of men who recognized the
power that had been vested in him
through the nature of his inheritance.
