Disclosure

How discomfiting it can be
how perfectly against the grain
even mildly infuriating
to hear a neutral voice
describe someone you utterly
despise with words of studied
praise. All the more so
when that neutrality is slightly
tinged with the very same
adverse reaction you have
to that very same personage
whose every utterance
any and all appearances in
the news drives you insane
with anger. Yet someone you
trust and admire can find it in
themselves to dispassionately
weigh that person's attributes
and find among them some
things that are admirable. It is
enough to make you scream 
in an agony of frustration. In
the final analysis however
introspection acknowledges how
very humbling it can be.
