Tempestuous and capricious
Nature creates and she destroys
with equal disregard for outcomes.
She is the Force Majeure that
has the final word on existence
and she exercises that privilege
abandoning her creatures to the
terror of her unappeasable rages
that simmer subterraneously until
such time as the Earth's mantle
erupts with deadly force implacably
shattering the surface symmetry
of pedestrian life transformed to a
panic of helpless terror as all made
by humankind is destroyed along
with nature's fragile creations.
