The human instinct for self-preservation
is accompanied by a yearning for
self-respect, dignity, justice and a craving
to find a place in the future. Denied,
a fiery resentment builds a fire of resistance
when broadly shared by a people whose
freedom has been denied, then spontaneously
erupts to destroy an oppressor, an event that
brings hope to those unable to muster the
fire and the might to topple tyrants.
Those who fail to blink in commiseration
at the plight of their people's slow state of
starvation of soul and body, as they direct
state treasury to the far more vital imperative
of building nuclear arsenals and hypersonic
missiles in demonstration of their power
to influence the global community how
far-seeing they are in adoption of global values
finding themselves in ample company.
