Human Hubris

 

As a species humanity has accomplished

much in familiarizing itself with its

habitat in the interests of useful exploitation

and with the dark cold atmosphere of

the exosphere and its heavenly bodies

circulating in the vast and forbidding 

universe with its tantalizing hints of existence.

It is the deep dark subterranean spaces of

the human subconscious that remains an 

unsolvable mystery incapable of transcending 

its primal instincts of wary suspicion alerting

belligerent antennae to the presence of challenge

and competition. Societies erect and position 

administrative governments ensuring citizens

respect law and order -- forbidding violence 

as an act of social criminality. Yet there is 

much in common between international cliques

competing for resources in scheming enmity 

between global east and west, north and south 

leading to conflict, reflecting the social microcosm 

of criminally vicious street gangs acquiring and

dispensing illegal traffic in the very medium

collective governments decree they only may

possess in quest of global control and command.
