In His Words

Skilled in the art of shielding himself from

responsibility he paints a visage of someone

of superior virtues, a credit to society and to

himself, a man of deep and honest convictions

whose acumen and judgement and concern for

the welfare of others is absolute, a perfect

candidate for full parole from prison where he

is incarcerated as a dangerous offender who has

spent a lifetime locked away from society. But

wait; judge not for he says he is prepared to

take anti-sex-drive medication in exchange for

parole "indicative of the virtuous person I am"

this extraordinary man who has found God

"praying to the rosary every day". The parole board

is attentive to the nuances and mindful of the

insight of the parole officer who recommends

against day or full parole for a psychopath absent

conscience and empathy for the pain he inflicts

on the vulnerable. And thirty years on the parents

of the teen girls tortured, raped and murdered by

the sadist are vulnerable, their pain never to ease

with each attempt he makes for parole. Justice served

by imprisoning a merciless predator whose countless

vicious rapes terrorized a city, his skilled evasions

finally meeting the cul de sac of finality with brutal

murder of their children. Knowing full well that

they are being toyed with for maximum pleasure

afforded a twisted mind just as their daughters

were fodder for his delectation, yet the pantomime

of justice capturing their anguish represents the law

extending justice to all including society's sordid

storehouse of capriciously barbaric unspeakables.
