Kindness, Love, Tolerance

Kindness, Love, Tolerance

Role models have a vital place in
society, they inspire ambition in the
minds and hearts of those who admire
the fortitude and determination that
brought them to their aspired status.
For young children who view their
parents as invincibly powerful, the
wish is to become as they are. When
those children become a trifle more
worldly they look a little further, when
becoming a policeman, a nurse, a
teacher or dancer, a firefighter or
entertainer appears more appealing.
As adults achieving some professional
status a lawyer may aspire to become a
chief justice, a physician highly acclaimed
for medical breakthroughs, a physicist
or mathematician for an amazing new
theory opening new fields of research
in unlocking the mysteries of the
natural world around us. Then what of
the truly mature in age, what could
inspire them?  We, for example, at age
79 have celebrated our 61st wedding
anniversary, and we look with no
small degree of inspiration at yet
another couple who have now passed
their 80th year of wedded bliss.
Their recommended blueprint?
Why, kindness, love and tolerance!
