Disaster
Entropy, the natural opponent ofForever. It is silent, inexorable, inevitable. Like the spectre of bleak, black Death, hanging over all, as weall desperately hang in there. Therecomes a time, as it must, that creepsupon and astounds us. Sounds, difficult to identify, unfamiliar toour ears, then suddenly nothingoccurs as it should, the normal becomeabnormal. Disbelieving, we trust thisto be a nasty illusion, soon to pass, everything returning passively, placidly, pleasingly, positively as perexpectations to a place we canrecognize and feel comfort within. But - no, this is it, the real thing, total collapse. We sit, stricken andfearful, transfixed by a dark screen, that mysterious hard disk that hasencapsulated our world, collapsed.
