neighbourhood society, quite
exclusive, meeting covertly
notifying one another by a
mysterious communication
channel owing nothing
whatever to populist social
media, that a meeting must
be held. And so they gather
the Illuminati dressed
discreetly without the
pomposity of their recognized
office, in black, prepared to
indoctrinate a new recruit
whose raw naivette is
readily determined by choice
of garb, benevolently
overlooked as temporarily
misguided, as the others
impress upon him the
obligations inherent in
deigning, as a superior race
in adopting the companionship
of another, alien species, to
keep them safe and free
from random threat of harm.
