This Lovely Girl
She appears as bright andfresh as an early morningdew-kissed blossom, walkingher dog in the neighbourhoodwoodland. And we, brieflyfamiliar with her father andher mother years before herbirth, see her father's featuresin the smiling 15-year-old'sface. There was, back then, another dog, a volublyemotional comic who broughtwarmth and hilarity to chanceencounters. She recalls himfondly, this lovely girl whomwe've come across at two-yearintervals, witnessed emerginginto her current form andpersona, as potent an emissaryof the continuity of wholesomegoodness in humanity's constantprocess of renewal as any wehave ever encountered.
