Identity Theft

 

Who are you? Yourself, unique, an individual.

Who are you when your identity has been assumed 

by someone else, who has purloined your identification 

to suit their own malign purposes leaving you with 

nothing but memory and loss? All that you depended on 

in your life to stabilize and comfort and lead, as you 

forge your way in the world, gone, and you are bereft of

proof that you are you, unable to justify yourself. The 

quandary is that no one believes you, identifying 

characteristics adopted by someone claiming you for 

themselves. Rest easy. Identity theft, while rampant

is a universal moral and criminal offence. There are 

legal avenues to unmask the criminal who is you but not 

you for governments and legal authorities support you. 

Widely recognized as an act of blatant criminality it 

is as though a scoundrel took your life. What then to 

say of an entire population group grasping themselves 

an entire identity of another group whose presence

long established in ancient heritage is deprived of all 

that is sacred and just, while the world looks on and 

global institutions give credit to the imposters, the 

authentic group denied legitimacy? From ancestral 

emergence to theistic sites and sacraments, geography

ancient cities and ethnic social patrimony, all claimed by 

an upstart challenge to recorded historical authenticity. 

One to whom lethal violence, savage slander and appeals 

of victimhood succeed in gaining wide support through 

alliance in an equally parasitical pursuit of originality in

theistic domination abetted by a wholesale derivation 

of faith lifted from an archaic source not their own.
