The Plot Sickens

What fertile fields of imagination are 

flawlessly ploughed with the skill and 

inspiration of a writing muse who directs 

a novelist to plumb the virtual depths 

of subconscious terror in the reader

leading those in search of fear in the pages 

of newly-published tomes exploiting 

the craze for horror and mad excesses of 

humanity and nature in a combination of 

the occult and unknown threats lurking 

unseen by the unaware until such time 

as they strike. Faithful to their elixir of  

fright distanced little do they care that 

across a continent there are others caught 

in the maelstrom of pitiless war where 

threats and fear go far in consuming the 

minds and spirits of those targeted for 

annihilation by an enemy whose relentless

pursuit of power and ambitious territorial 

advantage incited him to launch the 

horrors of destruction, rape, pillage, torture 

and mass slaughter in living colour.

 

Obliterating the Numberless Numbered

 

If you persist in the noble belief that there is 

an overwhelming goodness in the human race

if you believe that evil can be readily resisted 

by well-intended society then you can rest easy

you cannot qualify as one with a Jewish background. 

For it is that very small group within the bonds of

greater humanity that has experienced timeless 

persecution until the final deadly assault that 

catastrophically diminished their presence as living 

souls. A carefully prosecuted agenda to expunge 

their image as worthy of life, consigned Jewry 

to the status of lesser humanity, yet a viral threat

to all others on the planet. Repeated ad infinitum

depriving Jews of livelihood, education, social

position, possessions and citizenship found a

public willing to accept that this despicable tribe

be disallowed from living among their betters.

Transported to work camps, concentration camps

death camps as humiliated people, numbered tattoos

replacing individuality as children, women and men

those whom bullets and mass graves did not take

faced the systematic obliteration of soul and body

in gas chambers and crematoria across Europe

that no one had any idea might have existed.

Nature's Oblivion

The genius of primal creation, unsurprisingly is 

finely focused on the foundation upon which 

life manifests. Nature's vast throbbing laboratory 

thrives in its revealed mission to bring forth a 

countless myriad of organisms designed to exist as

co-habitants of one of her designated experiments 

but not necessarily to live in harmony. Her bland

indifference to the sordid details of predation 

and resource challenge leading to extinction is not 

any concern of hers for she has given her creatures 

free reign to disport and comport themselves as 

they will. If a pathogen threatens humanity it is 

of little concern to her for she is elsewhere engaged 

and each creation must look to its own devices. 

If in doing so they devise methods borrowing from  

her own complex laboratory interactions with 

abundant elements at her disposal then toy

with the results in infantile displays of ennui

in the potential for catastrophic annihilation of 

her entire oeuvre she is distracted but indifferent. 

Provoking Hatred

Why? Look, it's been 80 years and you're

still asking. That's the thing about your tribe

you are all persistently irritating. In the interests

of courtesy and clearing the air, we just really

had no idea... And if we had, if we had known

of the dilemma you faced, any of the details of

the quite dreadful situation of course we would

have intervened. Oh. You have proof? Allied

Command knew? The White House, 24 Sussex

the League of Nations? There was concrete

damning evidence? Fancy that!! Well of course

it would have been shocking, agonizingly so.

Little wonder it was met with skepticism and

even with proof, disbelief. What would you

have expected? I mean it was disruptive to the

war plans, defensive operations. That's where

the focus was. Too bad about your people, that's

a real shame. But be reasonable. It happened.

Move on, stop asking, provoking, irritating. It's

entirely reasonable to assume this kind of pure

badgering is what results in Jew-hate. You earn it.

 

Hear Ye, Hear Ye!

Did you know you indulge in sacrilege

when consuming whole foods that

have been transformed into 'convenient' 

forms that can be boxed and shelved

and stored for months and never spoil?

Sacrilege, if you believe that the body

is the temple of the soul and thus, sacred.

Treated in fact, with neglect for its needs to 

flourish and retain health and vigour and 

leave a clear mind attuned to reason and 

moderation. The simple fact is that whole 

and  basic food that sustains the body and 

the soul can no longer function as such when 

it has been processed away from its nutrients. 

Chemicals meant to please taste yet the food 

bereft of its vitamins, minerals, freshness and 

quality. Your temple a squalid hovel wherein

shudders your bereaved soul in mortal duress.

 

 

Identity Theft

 

Who are you? Yourself, unique, an individual.

Who are you when your identity has been assumed 

by someone else, who has purloined your identification 

to suit their own malign purposes leaving you with 

nothing but memory and loss? All that you depended on 

in your life to stabilize and comfort and lead, as you 

forge your way in the world, gone, and you are bereft of

proof that you are you, unable to justify yourself. The 

quandary is that no one believes you, identifying 

characteristics adopted by someone claiming you for 

themselves. Rest easy. Identity theft, while rampant

is a universal moral and criminal offence. There are 

legal avenues to unmask the criminal who is you but not 

you for governments and legal authorities support you. 

Widely recognized as an act of blatant criminality it 

is as though a scoundrel took your life. What then to 

say of an entire population group grasping themselves 

an entire identity of another group whose presence

long established in ancient heritage is deprived of all 

that is sacred and just, while the world looks on and 

global institutions give credit to the imposters, the 

authentic group denied legitimacy? From ancestral 

emergence to theistic sites and sacraments, geography

ancient cities and ethnic social patrimony, all claimed by 

an upstart challenge to recorded historical authenticity. 

One to whom lethal violence, savage slander and appeals 

of victimhood succeed in gaining wide support through 

alliance in an equally parasitical pursuit of originality in

theistic domination abetted by a wholesale derivation 

of faith lifted from an archaic source not their own. 

 

 

Nature's Gifts

 

Is sentience more prevalent and therefore

elementally inherent in creations of nature 

than biological science might suspect?

When life returns following the winter

hiatus and hibernating creatures emerge

to perform their vital function of ensuring

that newly-risen vegetation is propagated

is this symbolic of predestination where

nature blueprints organisms in a symbiotic

relationship to populate the Earth, or

did she furnish each creature with the

building blocks of reason and reaction? 

As rational reasoning creatures we pride

ourselves in the conceit that only we

among divine nature's creations have the

cerebral means to act and react propelled by

the reasoning brain. But then ... what if?

The Moral Failure of God's Witness

Consider: If moral decency compels reason to reject 

the impulse of a tyrant to strike an unjustified conflict

what greater compulsion attends to the authority of a 

great religious leader in recognizing the need to condemn 

without equivocation the command of a political leader 

leading to destruction, pillage, rape and mass murder? 

At the most solemn and enduring memorial to peace 

and goodwill struck down by malevolent powers fearing 

its message -- but rising anew, yet another Shepherd 

has chosen politics over religion's obligation to invoke 

the thunder and lightening of its message of brotherly love. 

Preferring instead to speak soothingly of trust in one's 

neighbour, of the need to forgive and relent at the very time 

that neighbour assaults another and the victim's humanity 

is humbled and defiled with the aggressor unrepentant and 

forcing ongoing war, yet spared the indignity of censure. 

Following in the malodorous footsteps of a predecessor 

whose stench of cowering before the genocidal violence 

of an aggressor, who much preferred silence to censure as 

six million perished. Does the most venerable Christian 

conscience of the world so love its fascist murderers?

 

 

Oh Yes, the Victims, the Oppressors

 

Scurillous, defamatory, hate-mongering

they embrace 'freedom of speech' as lawfully

permissive in their adopted homes far from their 

origins where there is no freedom to speak. 

As masters of language devices to marinate 

their enemies in acid baths of double-edged words 

meant to slice and to dice from a culture where 

anger is quick to fuse rage that leaps to violence 

they quickly discern that vicious rhetoric injures 

as deeply as stab wounds. In the land of their birth 

lethal violence between tribes and sects a cultural 

normalcy. Their diaspora homes value the soft tissue 

wounds of shunning, isolation, spurning injustice 

as a malady to be addressed with passion. And so 

address it they do, presenting themselves as victims 

who take their identity as Palestinians purloined 

from the originals transformed to Pharoahs whose

brutality has injured them so deeply they turn their 

venomous tongues to action in stabbing, projectiles

shooting, bombing, vehicular homicide. As victims 

they can do no wrong, assured the targets of their

lethal rage inspire no empathy among the moral just.

I Remember

 

Although I never forgot the

incident it didn't really occupy

my mind. It shocked me that she

slapped my face but she was doing

the best she could, one of those

women who struggle to be a mother.

It was just not in her nature and I

had said something she never

wanted to hear, never thought she

would hear and her visceral reaction

was to act to stop me from saying

anything further. After that episode

never did she ask for details or do

anything, probe to determine the 

veracity of my claim. I was just a

child, after all, her child. She very

much preferred to believe her sister's

husband did no such thing. To me.

She is long gone. It was eighty years

ago. Thoughts linger. I remember.

The Senescent Power

When the mighty fall does the

impact of the toppling resonate in

the forest of aghast onlookers

dependent on its power to deter

vicious tyrants from crushing the

vulnerable or is that whimper 

obscured by the penetrating shouts

of approval by those who gain by

its absence? Dependence on a sadly

doddering elder scarce able to

identify who he is, where he is, what

to do when faced with opposition

reflects a nation whose time has

lapsed, prepared to exit centre stage

while in the wings wait gleeful

dictators whose malice to outwit

the witless succeeded to the degree

that places the world on notice.

 

 

From Eastern Europe to the Middle East

 Ask, and the world knows the answer:

In what demented world view is the

very nation that defends itself and the lives 

of its people considered the aggressor? 

The global community of nations responds

with disbelief that a belligerent nation

invading another with the intention of

eviscerating its territorial integrity to gain

coveted property insists this is an invasion 

of liberation. Liberating another nation's 

territory to its predatory gain, in the process 

committing unspeakable atrocities. Yet

another nation attacked time and again by

a neighbour dispatching violent emissaries of

death to create disharmony and disorder and

revelling in the success of suicide bombings

celebrates its status as a victim of the very

presence of a peaceful, inclusive nation its

intention is to destroy. One, a bold march of

war by an irenic nation, the second a terrorist

agenda of intransigent belligerents where the

world fixes responsibility of restraint on the

defending nation long accustomed to isolation.

 

 

Tribal/Religious Iniquities

Unambiguous innuendo from the mouth of a 

skilled slanderer is far more useful as a defamatory 

device in the toolbox of a campaign to bring 

ignominy and a public outcry of anger leading 

to social isolation, than resorting to facts simply 

because the truth tends to be so boring since 

it never reveals supporting evidence of practices

and issues that wobble toward malicious violations

of human rights as the sanctimonious 'suggestions' 

subtle but searing claim as truth. Serving the

malign purpose of obloquy that so pricks the

universal conscience in their recognition of

right from wrong, justice demanding a stern 

penalty for abrading entitlements denied a people

wedded to their self-portrayal as victims of 

historical injustices. Innuendo eagerly grasped 

by a world that believes true victims of inhumanity

throughout the ages of man to be the aggressors

grasping at proof their visceral hatred is justified.

H.A.T.E.

It is vile and it is deadly

a venom whose only cure is

someone else's death and to be

fully satisfying to the dead soul

from whose fixated mind this

vapour of death emanates, the

greater the suffering that results as 

a consequence of hate wedded to 

violence is capable of, the finer its 

aim. The corrosive bile, product of this

carefully nurtured toxin so readily

aroused as to shock the mind of

a bystander through its ritualistic

contagion as a vestigial primitive

emotion springs from the subterranean

pit of the holder's subconscious alive

and writhing in fury, a venomous

serpent striking its fangs deep into

the seeping heart of its target

while the hate-monger defines

himself as a blameless victim.

Time and the Heavenly Host

 

The ecstasy of a sacred exhalation

burst into flame sparked by a distant

sage contemplating the human condition

visualizing how an eternal concept of

divinity could tame the savage beasts

of humanity in the expectation that the

favour of a powerful supreme creator 

could be courted through adherence to 

sublime commands to love thy brother.

And so it came to pass that a monotheistic

faith in the kingdom of heaven arose

and from that faith came another and

then another to encompass the world of

humanity. Origins of this divine worship

mislaid and subject to oral interpretation

whereby it was misunderstood that only

those whose faith was that of the first

iteration and those of the second and the

third deserving of brotherly love within

steeply walled compounds of minds.

None others need apply for they are

outcasts to whom blame, shame and 

violent upheaval rewards faithfulness.

Rules of the Game

What game? Why the ultimate game --

the game that has plagued humankind

since time immemorial. It is part of the

human condition where humanity preys

upon itself. It is unavoidable in any guise

it presents itself, and seldom are the

antagonists equal in command and stature.

Inevitably there will be an aggressor and

a victim, an unequal match where an army

of size and fearful renown marches upon

a rudimentary self-defense league, ill

equipped and trained, predictably lost to

the prowess of the other skilled in brutality.

On occasion the stuff of legend presents

where the victim refuses the aggressor's rules

and musters courage and determination to

hamper an aggressor's strategy of conquest.

Atrocities committed by the aggressor serve

to firm up resolve and despite inhuman losses

the victim spurns the rules of surrender

choosing instead to inflict great injury on the

offender. A mere 'incursion', destructive and

deadly then transformed as punishment to a

full-scale war whereby the aggressor redoubles

its violations of the sanctity of life willing to

absorb his own severe losses in the assurance

that the malevolence of hatred will prevail in

the final destruction of an irritant that will not

bend to his iron will dedicated to conquest.

 

The Meaning of Life

Love and hate, good and evil, friend and foe 

polarized counterparts that rise like the Phoenix 

each time humanity shocks itself by the depths 

to which it can fall from the grace of self-belief 

in itself as worthy after evil has stalked the land 

in a savage cataclysm of death and destruction. 

We, however will sleep well this evening for it is 

not we this time whose nightmare has become a 

fiery reality of demented dimensions leaving 

staggering heaps of smoking debris where homes once 

stood, and corpses in the streets where populations

once lived normal lives. We delude ourselves into 

complacency vowing like recovered addicts that this 

is the very last irruption of humanity's inhumanity; 

never again will conflict be permitted to shudder and 

fraction humanity. As we dream ourselves into the 

comfort of virtuous reform while elsewhere in the world 

bored tyrants look about their kingdoms to evaluate

how much more power they can acquire in consigning 

another nation to the hellfires of conflict, rape and death

steeped in war's degrading destruction of all that 

humanity has striven to attain in its search for meaning.

 

A Tryst in Hell

Deadly adversaries they may be

but it is nothing short of astonishing

how much they have in common as

antagonists in deadly combat. One a

nation's military forced as a country 

led by a dictator to become a killing

machine. The other a strictly volunteer

group of combatants whose devotion

to killing the 'untermensch', others who

are not reflective of the Hitlerian chosen

Aryans as humanity's elite, the remainder

dross while among the dross were those

whose presence was an assault on the

global order, merely waiting for fate to

catch up and obliterate them from life. 

The Azov Battalion versus the Russian Army

a match made in the war room of some

conniving human rights committee in the

hope that in the heat of battle the Battalion

and the Army might succeed in mutually

extinguishing themselves to solve the issue

of their shared malevolence: death dealing.

 

 

Have You Heard?

That most peerless of powerful world leaders

that man -- first among the finest of his peers 

in the depth and breadth of his humanity

a man with the strength of character and fortitude

to express his emotional brotherly love for

a people so like his own, sharing memories

and culture and values -- has hastened to bring

relief to that embattled neighbour. Clarifying

for their edification and comfort at a time of

great national danger that uppermost in his

thoughts is their plight and their salvation. His

noble invasion of their country will free them

from the tyranny of fascism and Neo-nazism.

On their behalf he will spare no effort to release

them from the burden of living contentedly under

the banner of a free and democratic nation. His

pledge to purge their government from further

massive errors in choosing liberty over the 

position of a vassal state, spurning the ties that

bind, will deliver them from the hell they existed

within simply because he cares so deeply about

the quality of their lives. Allowing them to start

all over again, rebuilding civil infrastructure

replacing civil institutions. Above all, planning

broad new cemeteries where destroyed lives --

dead as a result of their president's intransigence

can be buried in state, compliments of a benefactor.

Primitive Humanity

Humanity's brilliant advances in science 

and technology has brought it to the very 

threshold of nature's divine formula of 

existence as great minds probe the universe 

to reveal the mysteries shielded from view by 

a power whose mastery of life alongside all 

that exists as building blocks of being can only 

be theorized. Of infinitely similar complexity

the human brain, the mind and the soul 

continues to perplex in its manifold guises 

difficult to penetrate, impossible to fully

diagnose. From the cerebral processes of

humanity, the great pedestrian thinkers

to the elite scientists whose minds we regard

with awe, there is the plunge to minds where

the limbic system appears to have overriden

less primitive portions of the human brain

where the spirit inhabiting dark recesses of

emotional turmoil revel in unregenerate malice.

Might it be possible to pursue an impression

that those who prize hatred as a crowning glory

that celebrates murder and destruction halted their

elevation to a higher order of brain function and

the globe's population of tribal psychopaths truly

represent an early form of man, irrational in pursuit

of the glory imagined in conquest and terror?

 

Enigma

Is it then a primitive mind or alternately

a sophisticated sensibility that takes umbrage 

at the killing of humans in episodes of deadly 

tribal-sectarian-infused assaults as opposed to 

the destruction of cultural artefacts with great 

religious symbolism? The slaughter of people 

registers the need to send sincere condolences 

whereas the wanton destruction of shrines to 

saintly figures elicits roars of outrage reflecting

sacrilege of the most unforgivable quality. 

Which then is the greater desecration -- the 

impudence of laying waste to a symbol 

treasured as a reflection of man's obeisance 

to an immortal deity, or the heinous rage

of molten hatred impelling bloody slaughter?

Suffer the Children

 

There was a time ... Children were happily 

unaware that their casual yet fervent flirtation 

in punishing their parents with guilt for their

stern punishment if they died, entertaining

thoughts of birth confusion given to the wrong 

family; their 'true' parents would coddle and cuddle

please them with no end of coveted toys and gifts. 

And ongoing musing of how it would feel to be 

a boy or a girl and not themselves. These faint

memories of childhood stored in a memory bank 

to be brought out and examined years on as parents 

raising their own children. That was a time when 

children who grew into non-conforming adults 

were relegated to society's biological failures

subject to misery, ridicule and violence. Who might 

have foreseen that society would recant and

enlightened, introduce little boys and girls to the 

new reality assigned to remedy the past that the 

biological reality of genders does not really exist. 

Boys are not boys, girls not girls, but 'persons' with 

the freedom to themselves decide their preferences.

In freeing the non-gendered from persecution a 

new victimhood arises where boys and girls are 

introduced in Kindergarten, taught the neutrality

of gender, left mired in confusion and uncertainty 

where the suggestible celebrate the unicorn charade

to become other than what nature bred them.

 

 

April's Fool

Well, what on Earth are you standing there

gaping at? It's uncommon but not rare as

a transitional phenomenon. You've lived long 

enough to have seen it before; you've lived 

here long enough to expect it. Snow in April? 

Passe. Merely the result of a play-day nature

called. A triumvirate scheduling mischief

as it were. The editor-in-chief advising

her minions to do 'something different' 

to relieve the ennui hanging out with

same-old, same-old. To make it really

interesting the day included not only snow

but rain, and sun. A total weather bouquet.

What more could you look for, ingrate!

Etymology

Here's a language anomaly that linguists might

find particularly intriguing for a case study in 

how the manipulation of language carries a 

distinct underlay of 'what's in a word' messaging 

absorbed by the subconscious to satisfy a lesser 

designation of violence linked to an ancient antipathy. 

Take for example the use of the descriptive: 'terrorist'

reserved for acts that fall clearly into that category 

aptly describing violence whose purpose is to 

fearfully intimidate, to inspire and to instill fear 

through threats and acts of lethal violence. Those 

who scheme to terrorize a community, to destroy

its security and commit mass slaughter are by

their very hate-inspired actions and acts named

terrorists. Exceptions made and generally accepted

when there is little public sympathy for a long-

suffering ethnic/religious/cultural group infamously

targeted throughout history upon whom deadly

attacks are committed by 'gunmen' and 'assailants'

where the commission of violence by terrorists in

terminology reserved for others cannot be extended

for to do so would amount to recognition of their

indisputable human rights not relished by Jew-haters.

 

Truth to Power

Jaded observers who have been tracking

the interrationships and issue-cliques

of the United Nations in sanctimonious

statements that bear little resemblance to

reality, where UN bodies clearly misinterpret

the mission of that august body dedicated to

improving international relations and securing

security and advancement for all its member

states have long ago concluded the global

conciliator to be an abject lesson in human

failure. It has, however, taken a single leader

under bleak duress seeing his nation destroyed

by a member of the Security Council calling

it out for its indignant condemnation of war

yet failing the test of substance and effectiveness

to demonstrate to the world at large just how

very useless an enterprise dedicated to peace 

that global representative is, challenging it to

either respect its mandate or close up shop.

The Fury and the Anguish

Civil society has one cardinal stipulation.

Its members must adhere to the Golden Rule.

Nothing modern about this pacification of

emotions and predilections; it has an ancient

antecedent when wise men of yore recognized

the utility in repressing base instincts to enable

inter- and intra-tribal peace, monitored by

assigned cadres of peace-keepers. There is

that about conflict that draws on the beast in

the animal that is humanity. And war is known

to breed savage hearts and minds. Simmering

hatreds and defiance of humanity's care for one

another transforms men into mindless brutes

who turn from the battlefield toward softer

targets, the vulnerable women, children and

elderly who pose no threat and shrink from the

power of enraged males. An impoverishment

of thought and of shame leaves behind contless

coveys of traumatized women, fearful children 

and stacks of the innocent dead in the murderous

onslaught of power triumphing civilization.

He Said WHAT?!

The Forbidden detonation. The horror cannot

be eluded; all-encompassing and final.

That dread instrument of fission-fusion.

The final horizon. A thermonuclear event

to end life as it exists where it exists why

it exists. Gone, vaporized, the illusion that

life is divine surrendered to humanity's lust

for power and slide into lunacy. Neutrons

and X-rays flood the atmosphere. It takes

but a millionth of one second and it is done.

The atmosphere absorbs deadly radiation

expands and the mass cools. Milliseconds.

Concussion's shock soars far and wide -- an 

inner core heats to a fireball in three seconds.

Engulfing as it rises and spreads. Light that

nature recalls from the birth of the Universe

blinds the sighted in a fearful display of fury

capped by a mushroom cloud as pressurized

air of the roiling, boiling mass sends its

shock-wave consuming and devastating.

This awesome display of nature run amok

extinguishing all before it in brilliant light.

Where Am I?

 

Yes, I know youth is not meant to last. It 

makes way for another generation. It is

nature's order that her guardian biology

looks after. My problem is not my missing

youth. It is me. Myself. Gone. Where, is

beyond me. The imposter that has taken my

place is not me. But whoever she is she has

captured my thoughts and her facade seems

an acceptable approximation to most others

who regard her and believe they see me there.

I am not she and she is not me. She is, you see

shorter than I am with more generous but

unappealing proportions. Her thickness appalls

me; what gives her the right to pose as me?

By what authority has she usurped my very

own presence? I would never have chosen

this strange woman's coarse features, her lank

dank hair, her incredulous look, much less 

her faulty hearing and eyesight. I must be 

somewhere. Out of sight. Out of mind.

 

 

Existential Refuge

 We are by our very nature gregarious

seeking comfort and security in the

company of others like ourselves. The tribal

instinct born of nature's gift to humanity

to endure and find survival among others

sharing an environment conducive to

evading threats in the power of numbers.

Just as a child shrinks from the presence

of an unfamiliar face, vulnerable in an

unfamiliar place we take consolation in the

familiar. Our homes and communities

there to assuage uncertainties. Nightmares

consist of displacement, the unfamiliar

where threats arise. The trauma of war

leading to homelessness and despair in

its implacable impact on civilians while

combatants wage a conflict set upon them

through the command of the powerful

brings the world of normalcy to ruin.

The Sagacity of Unrestrained Power

Yes power corrupts. It negates the caution 

of self-restraint for who is it that achieves the 

station of great power who will not believe

themselves beyond the expectation of justice? 

Absolute power is that place in the firmament 

of humanity's authority over others where the 

holder observes no limits to unrestrained 

achievements of gain be it in treasury, property 

or command and control over human affairs. 

With such absolute power guilt is an emotion 

meant to trouble others and morality is whatever

the dominant one declares it to be. Putin built 

his opulent palace, he entertained the world 

in sports mastery at Sochi; he abandoned a wife 

for youth, strength and beauty; he amassed great 

personal wealth; he altered a state constitution 

to become a 21th Century czar, and he invested

and built a supremely advanced military machine 

with no intention of wasting its unsettling potential. 

Only the powerful are capable of launching wars 

to destroy another country, slaughter its people

scorn its culture and deny it a future. Is someone 

of this supreme stature satisfied with manipulating 

language and reality, the historical legacy resulting 

from the rage of futile efforts at domination?
