Another Dimension

Our mysterious minds
lead us, sometimes gently
sometimes not, to another
life on another plane of being, 
though we doubt that plane exists, 
leaving us on awakening with a 
dim recall of fascinating places,
a persona we barely recognize
and the wan understanding
that the rationale that advances
our understanding of self
and being is far more complex
than we know. That other self
to whom we are guided and
introduced sometimes shares
our fears and on occasion
manages them better than we do,
with the attributes of time 
and space we may think of
but will not, in this life,
experience that other dimension.
