The Vile Obsession

They're as diverse a sub-group of
humanity as it is possible to gather
since there are no boundaries of culture
ethnicity, age or profession to distinguish
them one from another. They all share a
common trait, representing the absolute
bottom rung of the human evolutionary
scale. Their minds focus on an utter
aberration of humanity's forbidden primal
traits in universal protection of the young
and the vulnerable. They are rapacious
predators stealthily tracking children
from infancy into their formative years
discovering new and novel ways where
their deranged sexual lust can be assuaged.
The demented acts of sexual violence
to which children are exposed while
helpless and victimized become their
tickets to fame in the bleak dungeons of
the mind that pass for humanity's outcasts.
Their cliques and gatherings through social
media celebrating each instance of obscene
destruction of a child's future a classic
example of the formidable influence of
humanity's incapacity to govern its dark
impulses. Yet this raw underbelly of a
population's sewage has its defenders
quick to point out that they too are
unfortunate victims of primitive urges
difficult to control where understanding
and compassion must be extended.
