Forest Rain

First heralding wind, then
pounding rain entered the
scene of a summer morning
cleansing the atmosphere of
a stalled dry spell to
re-introduce vibrancy of
colour, burnished and glazed
in hues of pungent green crowns
and pumpkin orange needles
padding the forest floor.
Great crystal drops sit
suspended, shining back the
enhanced twilight of the
forest interior with its
madly dashing stream
suffused with the glee of
action uncapped by rainfall.
