The inertia stifling the
initiative of self tackling
a project has a way of claiming
more victims than merely
the resentful tasked with
tackling and completing
that school assignment.
For the self-absorbed teen
anguish in the irritating face of
expectations becomes manifest
through the groans of grim
resentment echoing throughout
an otherwise peaceful house.
There truly are none so
desperately, unfairly put upon
as the young and academic
uninspired, so hugely protective
of their tender brains charged
with the entitlements of
youthful ennui with life.
