You're Responsible
It drives me to distraction
when you fall silent;
you, so ordinarily voluble
always ready to voice
an opinion on anything,
everything, anytime. Yet
confronted with a rare display
of verbal pique from me,
you have nothing whatever
to say. Don't you know
you are responsible
for everything? Without
you happiness, contentment,
excitement and satisfaction
in all of life's potential
would be starkly absent.
So, my dear, say as much!
